Focus
Aashray focuses on shelter, temporary accommodation, protection and assistance for individuals who may require safe and appropriate temporary support.
Purpose
The purpose is to help vulnerable individuals access safe accommodation and connect with appropriate longer term support, rehabilitation or reintegration services according to their circumstances.
What We Can Do
The project can facilitate connections with appropriate shelter facilities, temporary accommodation services, food and essential supplies, healthcare referrals, counselling, documentation support and rehabilitation services. Where appropriate, it can work with established institutions and authorised service providers.
Internship & Experiential Learning
Interns can participate in outreach, service mapping, documentation, awareness campaigns, support coordination and programme administration. They can gain practical experience in community support and shelter related social service programmes.
Need of Support
Support may be required for accommodation, food, essential supplies, healthcare access, transportation, counselling, documentation and referral services. Institutional partnerships can help provide appropriate and safe support.
Expected Outcome
The project aims to improve access to safe and appropriate temporary support while helping beneficiaries connect with longer term healthcare, rehabilitation, family or community based solutions wherever suitable.
