Focus
Paramparik Gyan focuses on traditional knowledge, indigenous practices, community knowledge systems and responsible documentation of knowledge passed through generations.
Purpose
The purpose is to document, study and create awareness about traditional knowledge while recognising the importance of cultural context, community participation and responsible knowledge preservation.
What We Can Do
The project can conduct traditional knowledge studies, community interviews, documentation projects, research activities, educational programmes and knowledge sharing events. It can document traditional practices, crafts, ecological knowledge and other culturally significant knowledge systems with appropriate community participation and respect.
Internship & Experiential Learning
Interns can participate in field research, interviews, documentation, archival work, data organisation, research writing and educational content development.
Need of Support
Support is required for field research, documentation, archival resources, educational materials, community engagement and research activities. Collaboration with knowledge holders, researchers and cultural institutions can strengthen the project.
Expected Outcome
The project aims to support responsible documentation and transmission of traditional knowledge while encouraging greater understanding of India's diverse community knowledge systems.
