Focus
Legal Sahayata focuses on facilitating access to basic legal information, guidance and appropriate referral support for people who may have difficulty accessing legal services.
Purpose
The purpose is to help individuals understand where to seek appropriate legal assistance and connect them with qualified advocates, legal services institutions or other relevant resources.
What We Can Do
The project can facilitate legal awareness sessions, basic legal information programmes, referral support and information about appropriate legal services institutions. Where legally permissible, it can help connect eligible individuals with available legal aid mechanisms.
Internship & Experiential Learning
Law students and interns can assist with legal resource mapping, documentation, awareness activities, appointment referral coordination and educational content preparation under qualified supervision. They should not independently provide legal advice unless authorised by applicable law.
Need of Support
Support is required for legal awareness programmes, referral coordination, educational materials, community outreach and programme administration. Partnerships with qualified legal professionals and appropriate legal services organisations are important.
Expected Outcome
The project aims to improve awareness of available legal support channels and help eligible individuals connect with appropriate legal assistance.
